Post from The Spy Command about the MGM investor call. There were also two Bond questions during the Q&A session. MGM executives dodged both but it's very unusual to have specific Bond questions.

    https://hmssweblog.wordpress.com/2019/11/21/mgm-says-no-time-to-die-marketing-gears-up-in-early-2020/

Very interesting but I guess that's normal PR.

Regards to the trailer I could care less too. This film has been different then films past I wouldn't be surprised if we get only one at around the Super Bowl in early February and that's it.

I wouldn't assume NTTD gets a Super Bowl spot. Maybe yes, maybe no. MGM also has a movie coming out around the time of the Super Bowl.

What film? I guess that's when you think because that's would definitely capitalize on the u.s. market. They had a tv spot for Spectre during the 2015 NBA Finals and like endgame got one last year.

Gretel & Hansel. MGM talked it up during the investor call.

    Here's the tidbit:

"You were brought in to work on the latest James Bond script. Have you read the original Bond books by Ian Fleming — and if so, what do you think are the best and worst?

I hadn’t read them, but started while I was working on the movie. I don’t want to say which ones I was inspired by just yet."

Nice! I’m thinking/hoping YOLT primarily. Maybe some DN or FRWL too!
You don´t seriously believe she read more than a few pages, do you?

For those complaining about Craig saying he's tired: get cast as Bond, then tell us how you feel after your Bond movie is wrapped up, with all the pressure, mental and physical, the media attention, everything.

I don't think anyone is arguing that playing Bond isn't knackering.

I think the point is more that lots of other things are, too: being a school teacher, a bricklayer, a nurse, a truck driver . . . all those jobs are exhausting, and they don't pay a million bucks. They also don't involve a few years off between gigs, or the chance to travel around the world in top class, or your choice of well-paid side-gigs.

Make no mistake, Craig is my favourite Bond. But "this is such a hard job" is never going to garner much sympathy from a millionaire actor when he's talking to a room of regular slobs with actual hard jobs.

...but I don't think he's trying to garner any sympathy. He's just giving honest thoughts on how he feels, and we all know that Craig is a very frank and honest guy.

I think the other two unanswered questions are just as interesting. About Bond films being produced more often and a replacement for Craig. Its clear that the investers want more regular Bond films.

Given the amount of reconstructive surgery Craig has had during his run as Bond (hand, shoulder, knee, I believe) compared to those 'regular slobs' makes it a pretty hard job in my mind. Worth it? Definitely, but still hard. I agree that I doubt he's looking for sympathy.

Looking around the net a bit, he lost two teeth in Casino Royale, the tip of his finger in Quantum of Solace (as well as having the shoulder surgery), and the ankle surgery in NTTD. I think he mentioned more than that in interviews though.

I don't know. But I think it is not fan made. Eliot Sumner is linked to NTTD and posted pictures of her rehearsing for a cameo role at Pinewood. She's not known as an actress so far but as a musician.

As for that poster it doesn't look official, and it'd be strange for them to randomly release more of a teaser poster than the first poster they released. Bit odd. This just looks like fan art.

His job is hard; not many people can actually do it. And when there are millions of dollars of other folks' money resting on you then I'm sure the stress levels are pretty high: higher than bricklaying, that's for sure. Yes he gets paid well, but: suck it up. Bricklayers don't work constantly for a year without a break, and they get paid pretty damned well, I can tell you. It's an actual hard -and very responsible- job. You don't have to be sympathetic and I doubt Craig is looking for you to be; it's just the truth of his situation. He doesn't want you to feel sorry for him.

Hmm, but why the crappy resolution then? I honestly can't tell if it is.
Paul Haggis liked it though, lol.

I'd be surprised - it doesn't look very official to me (but then I thought that about the actual teaser poster). Expecting a stronger "tag line" (or perhaps just no tag-line if they can't find one which does the film justice). I would expect to see a more coordinated "launch" from official production sources?

Wasn't Haggis involved earlier in the scripting stage - or am I just imagining that?

Yeah, it's been floating around under the No Time to Die hashtag. Definitely fan art, but still cool.

I think she probably just picked out the first image she found. I’m excited to see her role in the film no matter how big or small it is.

December or January surely for the first trailer. That would make sense. February onwards would be cutting it close with the opening of the movie in April. Its late enough as it is.

Also, i should add that Daniel Craig's other movie, Knives Out will open next week in the US. Maybe the NTTD trailer will accompany that movie? Just wishful thinking right now. But December or January sounds about right.

Surely they must know the theme by now. It may be interwoven into the soundtrack.

Only three songs in the last 25 years from 8 films have been interwoven with the scores, one of them being rejected and relegated to the end credits.

Until then, I’m not expecting it to happen.
