Even if it's around $30 million (and that's just pure speculation) it's considerably less than any potential lost revenue from a diminished box office.
Not everyone, considering some of these reactions. It was pretty obvious months ago that this film was not going to release in November. My newfound optimism with the latest marketing was obviously an error.

That was always going to be a gamble, I can't believe they even considered releasing it this year. Then again, I suppose it is easy for me to say, when I am not in that possition.
No because I don't have a crystal ball. Neither do you. Neither do EON/MGM/Universal. And that's the point. Nobody knows what it's going to be like in 6 months time or 12 months or 2 years from now.
Looking forward to seeing it (and the third round of posters!) then.

I am confident there will be a vaccine by then. I am not confident that even half the world population will have access to it by then. And this makes me more confident that people will confuse "vaccine" with "treatment" and we'll see more irresponsible behavior than ever.
After all the intense debating that has been going on here about theatrical vs streaming, with EoN then doubling down for November and seemingly going hell for leather with videos, stills, posters, the new podcast and finally Zimmer's gunbarrel cue, it feels like the rug has been pulled.
I understand they cannot control Covid and I've always been a vocal supporter of them in everything they do even if they fail, but this is bad form.
I'll be restraining my excitement going forward, which is a shame.

I must say I hadn’t quite even decided yet if I felt okay with going to see it, so I hadn’t reached super excitement levels just yet. I reckon I probably would have gone, but I guess if old dyed-in-the-wool fans like me weren’t 100% sure they’d even go and see it, it’s a sound decision on their part.
And that's exactly why it's so stupid to continue spending mkt money and push forward the release. All in the same day
Yeah, this is the only positive outcome, this year's birthday was pretty bad for me (though not as bad as the three birthdays before that), so next year I'll have a great birthday watching Bond at the movie theatre.
I don't have too much against the decision itself - as a business decision it is what it is and that's that - but I am a bit disheartened with the way this latest delay has been handled. Whatever about the trailer a month ago - all the stuff this week should not have been released if there was even the slightest doubt. This wasn't decided on a whim.
I would have been someone who continuously argued against anyone who claimed they were 'owed' anything by EoN. I'll be more understanding of that from here on, even if I still don't feel that way myself.
No Time to Die isn't a special case. All films are suffering.
And even with all this I don't miss Danny Boyle :)
Better to announce it as soon as possible after they’ve made the decision though, surely? And as, up until the moment they’d made that decision they had a film coming out in November, they had to be promoting that film.
Because they've been hoping for the best but also planning for the worst. I'm sure they've taken a day by day approach and have now decided to act that on the balance of probabilities, November I'd just not feasible anymore.
