I don’t see how Bond 26 can carry on where NTTD left off …
Going forward give Bond a fairly new Aston and he can have that for a few films and then maybe get the latest one at some point during Bond #7's run
Thank you for spoilering this...reminds me of when Cameron's Titanic came out, some people on message boards were bitterly complaining that some other posters had mentioned the sinking, thereby spoiling their suspense. Surely, one can't be too careful on this board regarding the ending of NTTD. :D
Did you hear about the Titanic? I just read about it in my dentist's waiting room. Terrible news.
Yeah, he'd've been oblivious, like a lookout in a crow's nest...
Word really gets around.
Laughed the hell out of this. 😊 Thanks
The DB5 must go!
September for me it's Chicago.

Thanks @RichardTheBruce ; just sent my wife the link. I think we will definitely make a weekend in Chicago out of it!
8-> Nope, nope. All gone.
I'm still down with having Aston Martins, but different models.
I could imagine Bond and a colleague sitting at an outside cafe. Across the street is another outdoor cafe and close by a DB5 is parked. Bond's colleague notices Bond has been staring across the street.
Colleague: "Nice car."
Bond: "Hmm? What?"
Colleague: "You've been staring at it for five minutes."
Bond: "I'm looking at the girl in the cafe."
Possibly for the entire run of the next actors tenure. Nothing to stop it making an appearance down the track, but for now, it needs to go.
They couldn’t, but Q could, and did, and gave Bond a little tsk tsk verbal slap to the wrist for good measure!
Yes, there was someone on another forum who suggested that it might be fun if Q Branch had run out of money in the next films and Bond had to pay for his expensive things himself, and I thought that kind of missed the point of the Bond films a bit. Excessive luxury with no concern about where the money is coming from is kind of part of the DNA. Indiana Jones lives on a shoestring and it's great, but not 007.
Interestingly, in John Gardner's Licence Renewed Bond actually pays for the gadgetry modifications for his Saab 900 Turbo himself. Gardner mentions that Q Branch was rather jealous of the "gee-whizz" technology Bond had kitted the Saab out with and were trying to get a handle on how it was done. I suppose it reflected Gardner's attempt to bring realism to Bond's adventures and explain how Bond could have the latest hi-tech gadgetry at a time when Britain was in recession and the public sector was watching its spending. It might be fun in a future film to see Q peeking in the window of Bond's car to see what it was kitted out with and Bond shooing him away. I agree that it might take a bit of the fun out of Bond's adventures though by showing too much behind the curtain.
