She's 12!
ok, 22, but still.
I'm not too enchanted to be honest.
They're non-binary, so I'd say actor would be a more appropriate term. But they were great at playing young Diana so I'd love to see them have a role in a Bond film.
I've just seen Hit Man on Netflix she was fantastic in it. She'd make a great Bond girl
Sure. Why should they cast ugly people in the role? Part of the Bond fantasy is that 007 encounters villains who are larger than life, women who are stunning to look at, locations that we can only dream of visiting, and situations more dangerous than we could handle in real life. But, evidently, "beautiful" is subjective, so I'm merely talking abstractly.
You're right, @Dragonpol. ;-) A 'new' generation of Bond girls is coming. ;-)
Seriously, though, I don't think anyone is saying that the looks of a Bond girl are all that matters. But good-looking people, men and women alike, are part of why we love cinema. I fail to see why a (not the only, but a) focus on looks is somehow "wrong" in 2024...
It's actually incredible the caliber of talent the Craig era attracted, beyond the usual models and television actresses that used to fill the parts. If we're being honest. I think Eon has proven they can cast beautiful women in compelling roles.
Of course there will be gorgeous women in Bond films. I think modern audiences just want them to actually be dimensional and not there just so Bond can have a shag. Audiences want a little more depth. That’s all.
@peter
You have to admit that choice of words invites, uh, some ideas. ;-)
@peter is just keeping abreast of the situation.
I think you mean Bond women. Now come on! ;)
I’ve been known to agree to replies like these with an eggplant emoji, but since this is a family site, I will reply with a G-rated 😝.
😂 😂 😂!
Did they not just cast literally Léa Seydoux twice
She's not in the same league as Klebb and Bunt though. They're gorgeous.
Well to be fair, Lotte Lenya and Ilse Steppat were quite attractive in their younger days.
After all, they wouldn't cast someone who looked like Curt Jurgens or Adolfo Celi in the role of Bond, and if you find a girl or a woman who dreams to be like Betty La Fea, then you're lucky.
But of course, a Bond Girl needs to have their agency, traits, abilities and skills that makes them believable as a character and more relatable, and a bit realistic.
That's fair enough. Everyone looks better when they're younger. I was being facetious of course.
Speaks Spanish too.
