    Can anyone tell me which scores features most new tracks out of Goldfinger, Live and Let Die, The Man with the Golden Gun, Moonraker and Octopussy?

    Moonraker is probably my least desired score out of these, with the other five ranking quite high on my list of favourite scores.

    Cor I think MR is one of the very best Bond scores, but each to his own.

    Goldfinger certainly has the fewest additional tracks from the previous release as they don't have the masters, but it does have some additional versions of the song, that sort of thing.

    Thanks @mtm. Looking up the score now, I think I might skip getting Goldfinger, even though I love the score. A few additional tracks for that price is a bit much to me.

    Yes I didn't bother on that one, although folks who did were happy with it.
    Are LALD and OP still available? I thought they might have sold out.

    LALD looks to be available on La-La Land Records online store, while OP still looks to be available on the 007 store. Might not be for long though!

    About the gondola boat chase music, I notice that the album track is 3:15. My own reconstruction is 2:32, which means there's some 45 seconds that went unused. This makes sense, as clearly, the bit of music where the henchman falls off the boat (very similar to the opening of the gunbarrel music) is an edit, and is preceded by music which was left out of the film, and which was probably intended to score Bond driving the gondola over St. Mark's Square. I look forward to hearing this unreleased part.

    Neil Bulk the producer says there’s SIX unreleased cues on this, plus lots of the tracks were edited in the film as mattjoes said, this should be great.

    Sometimes, I try to tell myself not to tell myself that Moonraker is the best Bond score of them all, as that would be unfair to other great Bond scores, which I also love. But Moonraker is easily a top 5 Bond score. What I would say is, Moonraker is a celestial Bond score, so its ethereal music makes it so different from other Bond scores. Even when Bond's on earth, transportive music like Bond Lured To Pyramid pops up.

    Yeah. Same here. Flight Into Space is one of the tracks I usually used for studying at the university.

    Bond smells a Rat has always been one of my favourites from the MR score. Very dramatic piece. Also one of the more serious scenes in the film, as Bond discovers the lethal gas only affects Humans...

    MR was for a long time one of my least favorite Barry soundtracks. This is possibly from the more energetic chase tracks making the LP in favor of the slower ones, but I've gained a lot of appreciation for it since and can't wait for this release to have them collected. There are also the brief takes like when the Drax thugs get ready to hijack the shuttle and when Bond trails Goodnight in Venice that are examples of why Barry was so good.

    Yes it's ridiculous how he's able to give everything, even those bits, their own unique, brilliant melodies.
    I'm stupidly excited that we're getting lots of unheard John Barry Bond music from arguably his best 007 score, plus getting to hear loads of these bits of music as he intended rather than the edited ones in the film.

    I haven't heard the samples, but I'd guess that unused cues are:
    Last Leg (probably starts romantic, could be an instrumental of Moonraker?)
    California
    Look After Mr. Bond
    Launch Program Commence
    Jaws Lends a Hand
    Globes Destroyed (Neil Bulk said the second cue in this track is unused, and was replaced with the first cue of this track)

    Bond Smells a Rat (Extended Version) is probably the same we already have but with some seconds of silence between the cues that it contains, which were originally blended together (two, I believe, one for Bond looking around the lab and one for the death of the scientists).

    Also, it looks like the film used a different take for Bond Lured to Pyramid than the one from the album.

    Then, as mentioned, there's the cues that were used in the film but edited:

    Freefall Sequence
    Venice Boat Chase
    and who knows what else...

    I'm very happy Barry's version of The Magnificent Seven theme is included. Not only is it one of my favorite tracks in the movie, it's my favorite version of that theme hands down.

    I agree with all that. Most people seem to overlook that cue because it's not original music, but it's an original and terrific arrangement.

    Intrada have just announced an expanded and remastered Out Of Africa too, so it really is Christmas for Barry fans.

    Barry struck Oscar gold with Out Of Africa.
    The soundtrack garnered Barry an Oscar for Best Original Score and sits in fifteenth place in the American Film Institute's list of top 25 American film scores. The soundtrack was first released through MCA Records in 1985 and features 12 tracks of score at a running time of just over thirty-three minutes.

    That’s wonderful. I can’t think of another Bond release which could top this one: the combination of a muddy-sounding original release, cues which were cut and rearranged in the film, and so much unheard material, plus it being one of the very best Bond scores makes this the most exciting 007 release ever for my money.
