Hi, maybe this "release" merits its own thread ? Now that it's not really "unreleased" ;)

First of all many thanks to @agrub for pointing out this release on the forum. I'm sure many of us are very grateful.
It can be found here : https://www.ebay.com/itm/235563946223

We're now several to have bought it and to confirm that the unreleased tracks are clean and that the quality is as good as the rest (they're not extracted from the movie).

The only theory I have is that someone working on the movie had access to all the audio files and they leaked on purpose or by mistake. And now someone is creating these expanded editions (along with many more on the same ebay account). This is obviously not official (no other trace of the release or the music label anywhere). When you have the item in hand you can also see that the print quality of the artworks is not professional, though it is well made. What do you think?

I have listened to it once, will listen to it again today and share some thoughts!

I quite like ambient music so enjoy some of the longer tracks. The pts music as Bond heads to the tomb is beautiful, so it's great to hear that one clear of sfx.

The same 2-CD album is also available on ebay.de, apparently from the same Spanish seller and at the same price, EUR 30.00 plus EUR 14.75 postage. Right below that offer there is something that looks the same, however marked as a supposed (official?) "promo", and costing a whopping EUR 181.16 plus EUR 26.00 postage from the United States. I'm passing even on the cheaper of the two, I'm not that much of a completist...especially when it's Hans Zimmer.

That's not the same thing, as regards the sound quality.

But not before I've listened. They can't erase my experience.

Plus no jury in the land could convict me of any wrongdoing due to eBay's unfortunatel manipulation of my good intentions.

This is superb news! I've really waited for this. Lots of good music missing from the score. One music people don't really talk about is the Barry-Arnold-esque track, when M sits down and looks at the portraits of the other Ms, then he speaks to Nomi's 007 on phone and the scene where the missiles are getting ready to the launched on Safin's island.

The complete score is very good. The sound is just as good as the official OST in terms of quality.

Yeah, when Zimmer / Mazzaro are giving it their all, they genuinely nail the Arnold sound. Best demonstration of that is, I think, in "Shouldn't We Get To Know Each Other First?" -- the quotation of the Bond theme there is pure Casino Royale.

Mostly, it'd be great to have a version of this without the crossfades between each track. I know Zimmer likes to present his albums like that on occasion with stuff like Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows, but sometimes it just doesn't work for me as a listener.

there is now a further album nttd the recording sessions with some alternate cues and mixes notably escape with valdo, back to norway and final ascent. wether trawler has film mix ending , the timing being the same as before remains unclear to me as i have the previous expansion in cd format and have only seen this new release in digital download form.

    -Where's the download link?
    -On the MI6 Community forums.
    -First place they'd look.
    -But my post--
    -Scrubbed.
-Then how are they going to get the album?
-Sorry, old man, section 26, paragraph five. Need to know. I'm sure you understand.

    Perfectly logical, sorry for asking.
I was not thinking of a download link actually, more like a tracklist or something like that. But it wasn't clear ;)

I wonder if this track is among those recording sessions and what it was recorded for, as it doesn't appear in the movie.
I would speculate it is part of the recording of the title song.

    Most likely, yeah.
It's a different arrangement than the one that was officially released.
The bebop at the end makes me wonder if it was meant to be part of the score, though, as the bebop is not reprised at the end of the title song.

Yes that looks like AIR studios, which is where the song was recorded; the score was recorded at Abbey Road.

as far as the so called recording sessions album goes it would seem to be indistingrishable from the earlier physical 2cd album save for three tracks repeated as alternate mixes{couldn't hear that in any remarkable form myself},and the end credits missing and also all tracks are given their reel and part nos ie 1m1 etc.in conclusion i'say forget stick with the physical and wait for an official expanded release.
