The earlier films and mid to late 60's films I have always been a fan of, unfortunately the 70's films fell off a cliff fast.

I plan on doing a almost full watch of the series, the last three Carry On movies from memory are unwatchable especially Columbus

Been on an Alan Ladd/Veronica Lake kick lately and finally got the blu-ray of their fourth film together. I loved it. Completely hit the spot.

'Carry on Up the Khyber' still remains my favourite!

The period films were generally good as bigger budgets and had most of the core cast, though the Phil Silvers Follow That Camel always falls flat for me.

The Kyber... dinner scene is great.

The 50's films had a hint of Ealing Comedies which I liked and they were less baudy.

I thought Carry On Abroad was late 60's though it's 72, I have always enjoyed this one for nostalgic reasons as it's one of the last films with the major cast if I remember correctly, and it ih totaly madcap.

The lovely two times Bond girl Valerie Leon appeared in Girls also, I think Valerie appeared in half a dozen Carry On films as well as TV specials.

Doubt any other 4K release this year will be more exciting for me based on the combination of how much I love the movie and the unexpectedness of the release.

Can I assume that Godzilla: Final Wars (2004) and Shin Godzilla (2016) are the "two to go"?

If so, you may find that region 1 versions of Shin Godzilla are very hard to find at the moment. Best of luck!

You assume wrong. The one I miss are Godzilla, Mothra, King Ghidorah : Giant Monsters All-Out Attack and Godzilla against Mechagodzilla. Once I get them (which shouldn't take long), I'll have the whole series, all 35 movies.

    January start with on dvd:

Max Havelaar (1976) - Quality Film Collection Edition (New). Dutch movie with Rutger Hauer.
    Meester Spion (2016) Dutch movie.
    The Real Blonde (1997)
Happy-Go-Lucky (2008). In Cardboard package (New)
    Californication (2007) Season 1 - 2 Slimcase with 3 DVD's (2008)
    Californication (2007) Season 2 - 2 Disc keepcase with sleeve (2009)
Milk (2008) - Quality Film Collection Edition

    Movie released:
John Le Carré - Het Rusland Huis. Dutch translation of The Russia House. With poster art from the movie (1990) with Sean Connery and it is a (00)7th print from 2004. Print is possible based on the first print from 1989, the year there start filming the movie. I personaly prefer the film title if you make it sort of film edition. So i have now the Soundtrack, DVD and the novel.
