The most memorable "Monster-of-the-Week" was "Eugene Tooms" from "Squeeze" and "Tooms".

I'd agree. Even I remember that one! I think my best friend had it on video at the time and it was one of the first episodes if I recall correctly.

I've just started re-watching X-Files from the very start, and yes, Squeeze was a great episode (S1, E3). Interestingly, the guy who played Tooms (Doug Hutchison) shares a similar fate with
his character Percy in The Green Mile.

An interesting connection there, for sure. A bit like Milton Krest actor Anthony Zerbe then who always seems to die in ever more gruesome and immaginative ways - see Licence to Kill (1989), Columbo Goes to the Guillotine (1989) and Star Trek: Insurrection (1998). There may even be others. Letters on a postcard, please. ;)
  • I also got a poster in the mail, and it looks it very good in my room

P.S.I just realized that I watched all 202 episodes and the 2 feature films in a matter of 4 months. :O :D ;)

If I recall from the series finale, the alien invasion and takeover, was basically a done deal, scheduled for 2012, Mayan calendar year.
Maybe we'll find out what went down.

Again, I really hope they do tell us what went down with the 2012 alien invasion, that Mulder seemed so sure was coming in the series finale.

I'm sure they will address this from the word go I would imagine?

maybe but I wouldn't be surprised if they just conveniently overlooked it, as its now 2015 and it may not jive with what they want to do in the now.

Really looking forward to this. Perhaps now is the time to get ahold of all the original episodes and familiarize myself with them- though I do have season 1 to keep myself busy for now :)>-
