That Eva Almer song is just horrible and whomever wrote is constantly trying the market the thing on YT.

The Bassey song according to Arnold was not rejected but written after the fact.

It does use some of the same cues from the film and oddly enough fits the titles perfectly.

Please tell me you are not being serious? ............ that you think that the JW song was more appropriate for QOS than any of the other songs submitted for the film!

JW? How did you get that from my quote??? I hate that song lol.

    I love the Arnold/Bassey/Black song.

That Jack White crap is about as enjoyable as nails on a chalkboard.

The Eva Almer song is like TMWTGG redux. I hate it.

But I agree with him on this ..that Almer song is too amateurish. What's more annoying is the composer or whomever trying to sell it as THE ultimate Bond theme over and over again on YouTube.

I think some people so dislike the Sam Smith song that if Justin Bieber and
the Chuckle Brothers released a duet, of their rejecter song " My bike's
got a reflector, to frighten away a ghost or a Spectre" They'd say it was
far superior to the Sam Smith effort :D

I like it too. But WotW is a lot more memorable due to its more consistent melody.

Yeah my 12yo daughter sings that WotW song all the time. It's now surpassed any Frozen song as my weekend concert.

What WOTW has going for it, is that killer opening before Sam opens his mouth. This Radiohead song is a nice listen, but disappointing as a Bond tune.
  • Wow that Radiohead song doesn't work. Can easily see why EON rejected that; too dreary and droning, and I couldn't understand 90% of what he was singing. Lacks that bombast and grandiose feel.

I can't understand what's he's singing in any RH song ...what's new here.

The Radiohead theme is rather dull and lifeless. People say WOTW builds to nothing, but not this? Definitely not.

I used FL studio. First I transcribed each note digitally by ear then put in my own instruments using various soundfonts. :)

it works better with the second half of the titles. But I concur, I prefer it now to WOTW!

I have gotten to where I greatly prefer this track, especially with the visuals. I suggest you try to warm to it. It's haunting and menacing (as "SPECTRE" should be), and top notch musicianship. EON and/or Mendes made bad choice.

I agree with that. It's a haunting ghostly sounding song ...far more layered and mature than the X Factor theme we got.

Even without that, it is apparent that it is, but I think they could get better than both, when it comes to creating something more appropriate for Bond.
