    The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly is my personal favourite film of all time.

    Well, it's something you usually wouldn't see in a favorite movies list, but a fairly fun movie nevertheless! Unless you're not into Japanese monster flicks.

    It's a horror classic for sure. I can't think of another film that manages to build that much suspense, and with special effects that are spectacular. I would've put Halloween (1978) on the list as well, but I think The Thing is a superior film, as well as the others on the list. They don't make filmmakers like John Carpenter anymore.

    They certainly do not. The man was a legend. I'd say my own top five from Carpenter would be The Thing, Halloween, The Fog, Assault on Precinct 13, and Big Trouble in Little China (with a very honorable mention to In the Mouth of Madness).

    @chrisisall, the only one I didn't recognize was 'Hannie Caulder,' sounds like a really intense movie. It has quite the cast, too: Raquel Welch, Ernest Borgnine, Robert Culp, AND Christopher Lee.

    Yeah, it's basically my favourite western. No, it's not objectively better than some of the big name classic westerns, but it's such a quirky take that I can't help but love it.

    Nothing wrong with that. I'd say my favorite western is always changing, but I always fall back on 'Tombstone': most certainly not the best western out there, objectively, but it's a lot of fun. Kilmer's performance in it is one of my favorites of his.

    Tombstone is my personal favorite Western, but this comes from someone who isn't a huge Western fan. I like a handful or so but not a lot.

    The term ‘Favorite’ is pretty loaded since it asks to eliminate so many other possibilities. There were a number of great films listed Munich, Ronin, The International, Bullit, Blood Diamond, Matrix, La Dolce Vita, Citizen Kane etc, etc. So looking through the list of digital movies that I take with me while traveling, one that continually stays on my computer and I have in DVD as well is Steve McQueen’s, The Sand Pebbles. Like I said "favorite" is a difficult category. I didn't see it listed, but I didn't read all the posts.
