Renowned composer David Arnold (QUANTUM OF SOLACE, CASINO ROYALE, DIE ANOTHER DAY, TOMORROW NEVER DIES) fashions a tremendous musical work -- his second in the James Bond canon. It’s an epic score that keeps breathless pace with James Bond himself, musically matching all of the film’s globe-spanning adventure, drama, romance and suspense with sophistication and excitement.     People have complained he doesn't do feature films anymore, well, I have an answer for that: THAT'S COZ MOST OF THE INTERESTING STORY-TELLING IS BEING DONE ON THE SMALL SCREEN!!!!

    This man gets Barry, and understands Barry was the Master-- he is merely the student. This man gets Bond. And this man can do 25 just as well today (as heard by his contemporary output), as he did back in '08 (his best Bond score to date; and he's obviously grown since then, as he grew through each of his own Bond compositions)

    No doubt the small screen is more interesting than ever before. I actually prefer a limited series to films any day of the week (Bond an exception, of course). No wonder actors, composers and directors turn to producing content for Netflix, Amazon etc. It's close to a golden age for the small screen we're experiencing.

    Sherlock is a big series too – especially in terms of popularity, so David Arnold is producing music for what is really one of the best gigs around. And he (along with Michael Price) has been doing great work on Sherlock since season one.

    Fantastic! Everything you could ask for and more. Most excited for: Gun Barrel / Bond Has Left the Building, Snow Business, Going Down - The Bunker (extended), Orbis Non Sufficit, and the David Arnold vocal demos (he's actually pretty good at singing).

    This is my happiest day. I love this score, and love the sound (ha!) of this release.

    Please don't ban me when I say I just read the news and I came.

    Came to feel tremendously excited.

    Okay, I like the DAD score, but I bought it less out of passion and more as an investment and endorsement of the idea of expanded Bond scores, but I have to say I love the TWINE score!

    Random stuff that comes to mind reading the tracklist (geekness alert-- proceed with caution):
    - Bond Has Left the Building-- great title!
    - Show Me the Money and Come in 007, Your Time Is Up remain separate. I'll stick with my joined version!
    - I was just listening to Balloon like two days ago and thinking it would be so lovely to hear it in high quality in an official release. And here it is! I love the music when Bond is rolling down the Millennium Dome, and that dramatic four-note horn phrase that brings the music to an end.
    - Welcome to Baku (film version). Oh, yes! I prefer it without the female voice, so bring it on!
    - Casino Jazz. Lovely. We need more lounge music in Bond these days.
    - Sub Gets It. Nice! Also, amusing to notice a certain pattern in track names... Antonov Gets It, Moneypenny Gets It, Sub Gets It... Christmas Gets It, Jinx Gets It, Graves Gets It, Renard Gets It, Elektra Gets It, Balloon Gets It, etc. etc.
    - Gun Barrel... that's not right. One word, please! Interested in the "separate elements". Maybe they stitched together several cues for the film and here they are presented separately from the rest of the bank scene music? Or maybe we are talking about isolated multitrack stems?

    Always had a soft spot for the TWINE soundtrack. It's just so fun and exciting. This track in particular (the brassy bit at 1:02 is brilliant!):


    Might have to get that expanded score.

    Really enjoy twine so think I might get this. Listened to the DAD soundtrack the other day and thought maybe it was time I bought the expanded soundtrack

    I do sort of wish it is an alternate version to that of the single release.

    I prefer the theatrical version to that of the commercial version. Because it has more brasses and they're louder as heard in the opening titles.
