It's so very strange to be analyzing a clip shown from a DC appearance on a late night talk show from a movie that just got delayed four months. This is like the Twilight Zone.

Better than bickering and getting nasty over whether they should've released it now or delayed it, in my opinion.

It was a great interview, Craig was in great form, he seemed really relaxed and excited about the film. Shame about Fallon being over the top as always

Yes he's awful isn't he? Clapping like a seal.

I thought the clip was great. I like the soundtrack, the siren was a cool effect.
Bond looking disorientated looked interesting I wonder why he's so confused

I guess at this point, having retired and on holiday with his girlfriend, he's got no reason to think anyone would be after him for any reason!

Yep, if one is hungry enough crumbs on the floor start to look very appealing.

I won't be surprised if they do go for streaming. At least they're using some sense instead of delaying it over and over again like with NTTD. They'd still earn something with streaming. Box office earnings will never be the same again no matter when they release it. The movie is gonna be delayed again if the situation takes a turn for the worse in 2021. Then we'd probably never see it if they still insist on relying on the box office takings and keep delaying it. I'm definitely not placing any hopes for an April 2021 release. We'll just see the same clips over and over again until god knows when they decide to release it. Maybe 2 or 3 years from now. Because again I say, this virus isn't going to just disappear a year from now.

I think EON will need a sacrificial lamb before they decide to just stream the film. If WW1984 is a success, I can see Bond going down the streaming route, then play in cinemas. Though to be honest, I don't see cinemas coming back in full force until 6+ months after a vaccine is administered to most of the population.
  • Nice clip to get us excited. However the one thing I was most worried about and from what I could hear didn't get rid of those worries, was Zimmer's score. I know it wasn't much to go on but I am even more worried now. Sounded dreadful.

I agree but I do admire the inventiveness of it, with Bond being obviously disoriented and stunned at this moment, in a sense. I'll reserve judgment until I can hear more of the tracks, especially within the film itself.

I love how he reacts, even though he's got absolutely no idea what's going on by the looks of it. He's baffled but almost slightly annoyed by it, not terrified like most of us would be! :)

Ok, just watched it. I mis remembered the shot. It's actually a shot looking UP at the bridge. It's at the 38 second mark and Bond is clearly not going to reach the bottom (ground level) with the length of 'rope' and angle of swing. He lands mid way on another tier of the bridge after hitting the wall.

He then runs through a tunnel on that level, kicking up a door, and runs after Primo, finds him, kick some ass, steals his bike, racing through tight alleyways and goes for the wall jump

I just hope the score isn't just a constant wall of Zimmer noise. Need to hear more. Don't want the film to be ruined by awful music (looking at you Eric Serra!)

Wow. I like the intro and some of the notes, but overall, this was very weak. More than anything else, Juber's "whiny/nasal" vocals don't work.

Bond looking disorientated looked interesting I wonder why he's so confused, I love how frantic the action looks from the clips, Bond in real danger, reminds me of Casino and Quantum for that. Anyone else think the cinematography in Matera looks like a dream sequence? Like the way it's shot in a film wen they soften everything to represent a dream? Not saying it'll be a dream in the movie but that's the way it looks

The very strong light makes me think that too.

Strange background. It whas Thursday when the movie was delayd and DC be anouched as James Bond in July 2005 not October 2005. Talking about October 2005, Layer Cake (official 2004 movie) be released on dvd then and possible only be Daniel Craig was anouched 3 months earlier.

Yes, very weak. None of that stuck in my head. At least Billie's tune is inside my ears for months now.
  • I think Ronson's tune could be quite good with proper orchestration and a different vocalist. I could see a properly produced version of this being absolutely epic, maybe with Zimmer orchestrating and Florence Welch on the vocals, but one can dream.

I think it's a very ordinary tune and no amount of production glitter would help it.

The official announcement and press conference was in October 2005 so he's not wrong.

I thought about the "1,2 ..." between Leiter and Bond in the last Spot tv, and could it be possible that they are playing "rock, paper, scissors" ? In reference to YOLT ? Or another game...

He was just certainly announced in Oct 2005. I know because I was in Florida for the first time ever from the UK and found out on a trip to the Apple store in the Florida Mall.

From what we've seen of NTTD this feels way off the tone of the film.

My theory is they’re discussing the mission Felix pitches to Bond.

Bond assumes this is a mission for at least, “three” ppl.
    Felix corrects him, “two”;
Felix can’t join this plan he’s hatched since it will be taking place in Cuba and he is an American (but his undercover Cuban-American-partner and Englishman James Bond can slip into that country...)....

    Just spitballing...

EDIT: but @Stark : that’s an incredible idea— if this was a reference to YOLT, I’d explode in a nerdgasm

I read in the Total Film magazine that they may be playing a game to determine who buys the next round. The premise is each holds a certain amount of coins and bluff one another. This may be from that interaction.

Besides the 1-2 thing, don't forget that Logan Ash is also present at the table or nearby at the club although we haven't seen footage of him yet sitting there. Total Film was present when they shot that scene.

We know Bond and Felix/Logan bump in to each other with cars first. Then the club chat, plus the walk and talk outside with Logan Ash just behind Bond/Felix.

Do you think its a code to throw Ash off? Or just a part of the game mentioned in the magazine?

I don't know at all. [We should use spoiler tags when talking about the plot]
But I do wonder if Logan Ash is already corrupt at this stage, and why?

I am very curious about Ash and how big a role he plays. Already from trailers and tv spots Primo has a larger role than I expected. If Ash has similar screen time its going to be a lot of characters throughout this film
