The tidbit on Blofeld is interesting. Primo's gonna be his eyes and ears while also working for Safin. With this movie's long runtime, I'm wondering if after Safin's defeat, Blofeld will make a surprise appearence as the final antagonist (similar to Green Goblin's appearence at the end of the Amazing Spider-Man 2 and Two-Face at the end of The Dark Knight)

  • Really good stuff in those notes!
It was touched on in the podcast but there seems to be an interesting conflict going on between Monepenny. Naomie mentioned in the podcast that in this film she chooses to speak up about things she doesn't believe are right in MI6 and is a "moral compass" and then here it is said "she faces a dilemma when she begins to mistrust M’s decisions and turns to her old friend for help".

One really wonders how much and how exactly Blofeld will factor into the story. I’m convinced it’s going to be conclusive one way or another based on the many comments about this film rounding up everything in Daniel’s continuity.

Sounds like M inadvertently ends up creating Safin's genetic weapon? Now that would be interesting.

    Hi, @QBranch
Is the name "Paloma de Armas" official or just being cool in your card? ;)

Sounds like it! It’s probably early to say this but I think Cary Fukunaga may be the best thing to happen to the franchise since Craig. Not only does he seem to “get” the character enough to shake things up without betraying the essence of Bond, but he also seems to be really fleshing out the supporting characters and giving them something interesting to do, which, besides M’s character in Skyfall and Vesper/Felix in CR, the MI6 team and allies haven’t really had much of an engaging role. That’s a shame considering the caliber of actors involved, but from Bond to Madeleine, M, Nomi, Moneypenny, Primo, Ash, they all sound unique and well realized, with interesting and dynamic roles in the story.

Yes - this is shaping up to be one of the most ambitious Bond films ever. If Cary Fukunaga pulls it off, combined with this sense for drama and artsy background, he should become one of the most sought after directors in the world. Just listen to all the cast interviews… they speak SO highly of him/ call him a “genius” etc

I think one way they could do it is set it up like the end of Casino Royale, where Bond, Madeline,
    and their daughter
are on vacation enjoying themselves some time after Safin's defeat. Suddenly Spectre agents led by Primo (if he survives) intercept them and take them hostage, while Bond is taken before Blofeld. Essentially this would be Spectre's third act but more condensed with higher stakes and more action with Bond killing everyone, including Primo, before finding
    Mathilde
and saving Madeline from drowning (mirroring him trying to save Vesper, but succeeding this time) . It would end with Bond intercepting Blofeld and killing him once and for all, ending the movie with Bond, Madeline, and
    Mathlide
embracing each other, finally at peace

Would really be something if there was all this at the end that just hasn't been hinted at /revealed thus far!

It's possible. Endgame managed to keep it's entire third act hidden until release and so far we know next to nothing about NTTD's ending. I mentioned that this part wouldn't be as long as Spectre's third act and be more closer to the sinking building fight in Casino Royale

The only thing that has me somewhat disappointed is that
Based on Bond being the only one rescued from the sinking ship, it seems they really will kill off Felix. Not a deal-breaker for me, but I don't see why you can't just leave him maimed, out of action, and stay true to the original stories.

Feels like with movies lately the only way writers know of getting an emotional response from an audience is by killing a beloved character.

'Bond is back' is new since a few days back. Universal Korea had that on the list for Sept marketing. We still haven't seen Safin featurette, New Character Action featurette, 007 Legacy Featurette and also new character posters unless they mean the black and white

    Sept 1 - Main Poster
    Sept 2 - Main Trailer
    Sept 6 - Bond is Back Video/Featurette
    Sept 8 - Character Posters
Sept 13 - IMAX tickets on sale, IMAX poster, Safin featurette, New Character Action featurette
    Sept 23 - Final Trailer
    Sept 27 - 007 Legacy Featurette

Finally saw Being Bond. Pretty good. The only thing new I learned from it was Craig was working with a broken leg for a good portion of filming Spectre. Other than that didn't learn anything new. The OHMSS soundtrack playing at the end got to me cause it finally hit me this will be Craigs last.

If that does turn out to be the case, I will probably be ranking NTTD at the bottom spot.

Really ? In The Sopranos they killed...for those who've not seen it I won't say but those who've seen surely would know the character to whom I refer. And they were not the first show to do that. Admittedly, the show to which you referred used it very effectively.

At any rate -- I agree with you about how to treat the character who might seem to be at risk.

Lol I was just about to say the same thing.

Has anyone had a chance to listen yet? Any timestamps for new Zimmer score?

I'm starting it now! Will keep an ear out.
Already a new track at 2:11. Feel a very tropical.
    6.06 sounds new
7.25 so many nice Bond motifs
    17.20 is beautiful, very sweeping
