Still not go round to rewatching Deadly Pursuit yet though the film is on my need to watch pile.
I bought Shattered last year with Tom Berenger and the gorgeous Greta Scacchi it was better than I remembered, Tom was a relatively big star for several years.
Yeah, i remember Shattered, i saw it at the cinema. Pretty crazy twist at the end!!!
Also bought E.T. soundtrack on CD (already have the expanded score on digital download, though saw it on CD in a record shop had to buy it).
Not a big fan of the film but the music is incredible.
The twist seems very obvious now nevertheless the film was a surprisingly fun ride, a lot of nods to Hitchcock.
I loved that film when it came out. Haven't seen it since....
It is worth another watch, I really enjoyed the film.
I have not seen Dillinger, knowing ARROW it will no doubt be a great presentation.
I have it on DVD, great film. John Milius is always an interesting writer/director, (and infamous script doctor, Sean Connery insisted he work on 'The Hunt for Red October' script!)
I recommend watching the documentary on him, 'Milius', so sad what happened to him!
Yeah, but i think he recovered from his stroke? I have seen the Milius documentary. Excellent.
His DVD commentary's are hilarious. I look forward to listening to this one too.
I always preferred his scripted ending to Apocalypse Now. Would have been much better than Brando's pretentious mumbling.
Agreed! And of course he wrote the famous speech Quint gives in 'Jaws' about delivering the bomb, though Shaw apparently edited it down to what we hear in the film!
He also wrote one of my favourite westerns 'Jeremiah Johnson'
I am a fan of Polanski's films especially Chinatown, The Ninth Gate and Frantic though I have never seen The Fearless Vampire Killers, I will have to look out for it.
Nice one mate! Thats the dvd of 'The Fearless Vampire Killers' I owned for years, but I got an upgrade to bluray last year, but it was a foreign release. Am still on the lookout for a good new copy of it!
'Rosemary's Baby' is very good film, and I also own 'Chinatown', 'Macbeth' and 'Cul de Sac' ( which I recommend!)
Haven't seen 'Frantic' in years, nice little Hitchcockian thriller, though Polanski fumbles the climax!
My younger brother, usually buys me a movie on my birthday, and last year got me 'Pirates', but I haven't watched it yet ( never seen it, but by all accounts it's pretty terrible!!!)
Thanks @Mathis1 i got both of those with a CEX voucher. The Vampires DVD was only a fiver, and i was really impressed with the picture (upscaled through my 4K player) I haven't seen it in many years but thoroughly enjoyed it again.
Polanski's Repulsion is also a very good film. I'm a big fan of Frantic which i own on Bluray. Personally Chinatown and Rosemary's Baby are his masterpieces.
(Well, there's a DVD alongside the CD).
I'm a fan of Miyazaki, so...
Loved that series when I watched it in the '90s on BBC Prime (the only place where you could see it in France). Wonder if it still holds up.
And also this :
But of course, what I'm really waiting for hasn't come out yet. But it will, next week.
Love Blakes 7 especially the first two seasons.
It will do till the big release next week (the fourth of December, if my sources are correct). I'll let you know how it went as soon as I have watched it.
The best Burt album i have bought, 50 tracks in this collection including Casino Royale (Casino Royale on LP can't be beat admittedly).
