Just bought these from a charity shop for £11.99, they look brand new no wear at all and sound pretty good.
I must have over a dozen sets of headphones and ear monitors etc now.
Cool! I have an old portable CD player boxed up somewhere. I last used it in 2011 (I can actually remember exactly when I used it), but it's been boxed up for almost as long. If I can dig it out, I might give it a try!
These players could vary in quality (I've had others that just stopped functioning), but this last one I bought was (or is) quite sturdy. I had it with me in bags, on planes and bus trips and more, so it could handle being used.
The two rooms I had renovated are both a work in progress still, as I haven't placed everything I want to have in the rooms there yet – or bought! Here's a photo of the built in desk and shelves I had made; the shelves will be filled eventually (obviously with Bond books and more), and I only used the desk for the first time last night.
I need to find a solution for the audio gear I want to use in this room. I'm tempted to go for the Montana Spin unit to store some records and place my Tandberg TR 200 C on top. Since it has wheels, I could easily move the unit around the room too —but the price is insane!
How do these sound compared to your other pairs, @Fire_and_Ice_Returns?
Looking good certainly space saving, my desk space is a mess way too many visible cables.
I have a lot of shelf space on my TV stand set up so majority of living room tech is on there.
The recently bought headphones don't have the detail of some of my other pairs probably down to the extra base. The extra base is usefull when listening to my retro cassette walkman and CD walkman if I don't use the CD walkman equaliser.
Despite having a lot of headphones etc they have thete individual uses, I will likely buy more headphones as I enjoy collecting and displaying them.
Having a mobile unit for audio equipment makes sense, what kind of flooring do you have in that room?
