I'm incredibly excited for this. With how long it has taken to get it finished, I'd forgotten that Timothy Olyphant was in it. I gave a big loud gasp of excitement when I saw him.

I agree. DM me if you want to hear my friend's unfortunate solution with Shrek the Third. Which I think is one of the worst animated movies ever. Too cynical.

I'm glad I wasn't the only one! I'm like that whenever I see Olyphant appear in anything.

LOTR prequel delayed til December 2027.

Warner Bros. Pictures’ live-action “The Lord of the Rings: The Hunt For Gollum” film won’t be making its December 2026 cinema release as initially hoped.

Andy Serkis, who both plays Gollum in the film and will be directing the project, tells The Direct that filming won’t begin until next year with the planned release pushed back by a year:

“It was originally going to be December 2026. It is going to be December 2027 […] We are right at the beginning of the writing process. We will be prepping later this year. Prep takes a good chunk of time, six or seven months, and then we will be shooting next year. So, it backs into that December 2027 release date.”

Actors Viggo Mortensen, Ian McKellen, and Orlando Bloom have reportedly all been been asked to return in their respective roles of Aragorn, Gandalf and Legolas respectively. The original filmmaking team of Peter Jackson, Fran Walsh and Phillpa Boyens are all heavily involved in the new film as producers.

The story reportedly takes place just before the events of ‘The Fellowship of the Ring’ with Gandalf sending Aragorn on a quest to find Gollum. The film is expected to use AI and digital make-up to de-age the actors.

    New movie with Nicolas Cage

Ballerina looks fun. Didn't expect Keanu to be in it at all, so that's a surprise.

I agree. John Wick has been 4 hits so far. I consider 5 a lucky number, hopefully it will continue. There are other spinoffs in the John Wick universe planned, let's see if they can be made!

Mixed opinions, I liked the first. But both Disney/Pixar need to start making more original movies again. I understand that they want franchises from a business standpoint, but most of their original stories are timeless. At least the theatrical sequels have generally been much better than the Disney Direct to Video garbage. Still, better Coco 2 than Cars 4. Also, I'm a hypocrite. Where's Incredibles 3? Can't be any worse than the average MCU movie. And Zootopia 2 is a rare sequel I'm looking forward to. It's a shame that The Day the Earth Blew Up: A Looney Tunes Movie is bombing at the box office. I hope that Disney can go back to hand-drawn animation one day.

I think Incredibles 3 is an issue with the director, who didn't want to even do 2 initially. But I believe I've heard 3 is now in the works with the same director, so who knows.
