And what a great laugh Samedi has!
Only come across by accident by production designer Syd Cain when he was scouting for locations!
Great scene, pure Bond!
If they were doing this scene today, they'd be cgi crocs! 🙄
Mankiewicz claimed the script just said ' the greatest boat chase ever' and that was it
I thought they were fake until I watched the DVD extras.
Roger said Harry introduced him to the game, and they played for money. Rog said he figured Harry was trying to get Rogers fee back! 😅
Great viewing of this Bond movie, really enjoyed it!
Well, never thought they were fake, but did think it odd they were lying so still, and in a row too, til I found out they were tied down! The owner of the farm, called Kananga, did the stunt, and nearly came a cropper doing so!
Would be great to get a soul singer do a future theme. There are a lot of incredible neo soul artists around.
The image of Moore exiting JFK is forever ingrained in my mind. Classic assassin look, need to see more of that.
"Feel the full force of my ankle!"
For me this is the best bug-searching scene/hotel room scene in the series.
Love this island infiltration, via hang glider. Moore puffing on cigar while in flight!
Great scene of them exploring the fields and the squibs firing next to them on the ground.
Didn't know that. There's some good footage in the film of him and Seymour on the bus.
Love this finale, with Bond returning to a previous location and one-off weapon. The firefight idea sounds cool. Maybe the CIA weren't allowed on San Monique soil, a bit like Cuba.
Gotta love the train henchman reveals. Tee Hee ripping open the sack; Jaws hiding in the closet.
I've tried identifying the train engine, but seems like a custom design for the film.
Yep, the PTS is lame. As was Golden Gun's...
More Madeleine Smith would have been a bonus..
When I first saw this at 7 years old I thought Kotto was literally pulling his face off...😆
Me too! Moore never looked cooler!
Great write up by the way @Mathis1
I actually like 'Golden Gun's pts mate. Has that sense of the macabre, and it's a good duel. I'm really surprised Cubby and Harry were happy with how their new Bonds opener was so meh!
