    Kotto is terrifying here.
And what a great laugh Samedi has!

    The Crocodile farm!
Only come across by accident by production designer Syd Cain when he was scouting for locations!

Julius W Harris is a great character actor. Love TeeHee, the metal arm was only added for the film

    The iconic crocodile hop!
    Great scene, pure Bond!
If they were doing this scene today, they'd be cgi crocs! 🙄

    And the boat chase!
Mankiewicz claimed the script just said ' the greatest boat chase ever' and that was it

It took the stunt team a long time to perfect those boat jumps!

    Pepper is hilarious!

The boat chase is a bit stop and start for my liking! Though I do love the aerial shots of it!

The priest in the wedding, that the boat chase destroys, looks an awful lot like Director Lewis Gilbert!

    Explosive finish!

Voodoo finale! A little too stagey, they could have come up with something better, and why didn't Felix join him, instead of staying on the boat. How cool would it have been for 007 and Leiter to have a firefight against Kanangas men in the Poppy fields?

Do like Bonds outfit with the shoulder holster. Have that figure from Sideshow figures!

Baron Samedi looks amazing in the body paint! The machete scrap is way too brief with him though

I thought they were fake until I watched the DVD extras.

Kanangas inflated demise is really awful. I think originally he was to be eaten by the sharks, after their fight! Though I believe they WERE going to do the keelhauling scene from the book, ( later of course, done in FYEO!) Don't know how or who came up with blow up doll moment, but it was a terrible idea, badly executed (sic!)

Bond and Solitaire playing gin rummy!
Roger said Harry introduced him to the game, and they played for money. Rog said he figured Harry was trying to get Rogers fee back! 😅

The final fight with TeeHee is terrific!

Baron Samedis appearance at the end was a great surprise!
Great viewing of this Bond movie, really enjoyed it!

Well, never thought they were fake, but did think it odd they were lying so still, and in a row too, til I found out they were tied down! The owner of the farm, called Kananga, did the stunt, and nearly came a cropper doing so!

LALD personal fave from the Moore era. First one of his I owned on VHS.

Can't believe Harry wanted someone else to sing it!!
Would be great to get a soul singer do a future theme. There are a lot of incredible neo soul artists around.

Roger looking sharp in his suit and gloves,
Craig has a similar look in the Rome section in Spectre!
The image of Moore exiting JFK is forever ingrained in my mind. Classic assassin look, need to see more of that.

Bond looking for bugs, how many movies does he do that in?
For me this is the best bug-searching scene/hotel room scene in the series.

Bond is hangliding, more milk tray man, than 007!!
Love this island infiltration, via hang glider. Moore puffing on cigar while in flight!

    The Poppy fields!
Great scene of them exploring the fields and the squibs firing next to them on the ground.

Rog went to London bus company to learn how to do spins in a bus, but he was doubled for the stunt itself!
Didn't know that. There's some good footage in the film of him and Seymour on the bus.

Love this finale, with Bond returning to a previous location and one-off weapon. The firefight idea sounds cool. Maybe the CIA weren't allowed on San Monique soil, a bit like Cuba.

Gotta love the train henchman reveals. Tee Hee ripping open the sack; Jaws hiding in the closet.

I've tried identifying the train engine, but seems like a custom design for the film.

Apparently, Tom Mankiewiczs original draft, had Baron Samedi kill just one agent, with a machete, Bond was then introduced in a chase sequence.
Sounds a lot better than we got here!!
    "Whose funeral is it?"
    "Yours!"

Yep, the PTS is lame. As was Golden Gun's...

So Bond was on a mission in Rome, with Miss Caruso? Maybe they should have shown Bond finishing the mission in the pts, and we get the funeral scene after the titles?

More Madeleine Smith would have been a bonus..

Mr Bigs make up is rather clumsy looking! I only found out recently that effects maestro Rick Baker was responsible for it! Baker went onto an illustrious career, most notably 'An American Werewolf in London'

When I first saw this at 7 years old I thought Kotto was literally pulling his face off...😆

I actually like 'Golden Gun's pts mate. Has that sense of the macabre, and it's a good duel. I'm really surprised Cubby and Harry were happy with how their new Bonds opener was so meh!

Some unfinished business to attend to. A full James Bond film in two minutes flat. shocking, positively shocking.
