Love it my good man, love it. :-)

People often forget how fast he says it and how there's no gaps between the two halves, like he literally says "shoulder" and "knew" as if they were one single word.

    I liked that!
Oh, sorry, are we on a bash of Pierce again?

    Yeah you're probably right.

I still can't forgive the "feels even better from where I'm stitting" or "well you have...you're even lovlier" lines in the jacuzzi. Urgh...and people slag off Brosnan for being an ageing horny sleaze-bag.

    Really?

I've never heard such a criticism of Brosnan before.

Awesome topic! I can already tell that this one will go on for quite some time; we'll eventually get down to debating the most insignificant lines, hahaha. <:-P

    Connery

Best: "Yes, I believe I'll sit in the front." (DAF) or "Friends of yours? Come in." (TB)

Worst: "I love you." (YOLT) (I realize that it's a code phrase between Bond and Aki, but wow, Connery's delivery couldn't be more awful!)

    Lazenby

Best: (is there even a good one?) "It takes more than cutting off your earlobes, Blofeld, to turn you into a count!" (that's all I can think of- nearly all of his lines are lame)

Worst: (where do I begin? I'll have to do more than one) "My name is Bond, James Bond!" (so overly chipper and happy-go-lucky) "You've thought of everything!" "Where's the party this time?" "I think we'll all enjoy it more without that!" (UGH! He never shuts up in that entire sequence with Draco's thugs. He just keeps babbling uselessly like a moron!!) "Thanks Q, but this time I've got the gadgets, and I know how to use them." (how does that even make sense?) "Head for the trees!" "I love you- I know I'll never find another girl like you." (Just shut up- this is a James Bond movie, not a Nicholas Sparks movie)

    Moore

Best: "Killing Tibbet was a mistake." (AVTAK) or "Yes, room service? This is Mr. Bond, Bungalow 12. I'd like a bottle of Bollinger, please...slightly chilled....two glasses. Thank you!" (LALD)

Worst: "He's good....even by my standards." or "The man's a menace!" (both from TMWTGG) (Obviously we know that Bond is posing as Scaramanga, but man, Roger was entirely unconvincing and, frankly, just stupid in that scene)

    Dalton

Best: "Get me out of these bloody things!" (LTK)

    Worst: "No, the steel-tipped." (TLD)

    Brosnan

Best: (Where do I begin?!) "It's what keeps me alive." (GE) "Oh, I believe you." (TND) "And we know how difficult that can be for a Swiss banker." (TWINE) "Oh, I'm sure they're perfectly rounded." (TWINE) "Oh, I'd be lost at sea....adrift..." (TND) "He'll betray you! Just like everyone else..." (GE) "And what do you think?" (DAD) "Would you like to show me more?" (DAD) "It still boils down to petty theft- in the end you're just a bank robber. Nothing more than a common thief." (GE)

Worst: (Hardly any! But, if I had to pick, it would be this) "I should have warned you- my relationships don't seem to last either." (DAD)

    Craig

Best: "It's time to get out." (QoS)

Worst: "Camille!!" (while falling through the air without a parachute in AWFUL CGI)

Perhaps it's not the worst, but it doesn't help that Dalton's mouth doesn't move a bit when he says the line!

He's off camera when he says it isn't he? It shows Saunders holding the magazine with soft nose rounds. Then cuts to a closeup of the steel tipped bullets which Bond says No, Steel tipped. the it cuts to Bond saying. KGB snipers usually wear body armor.

I don't know, all I know is that "I can protect you" is said so fast that he literally pronounces "you" as "oo". Also his Irish accent is 1589320102351034% in full force when he's hanging onto the balloon. He also has a similar Shatner-esque delivery with the "shoulder" line.

Don't know if it's Moore best delivery, but I really like the line "What a handsome craft. Such lovely lines" in TSWLM. Moore at his best.

    I liked that line too.

Also "that's the part I like" when he's on the boat with Anya.

Yeah that one is a bit odd.

There's one in SF too which I'm not sure about:

"Only a certain kind of woman wears a backless dress with a baretta (?) attached to her thigh".

    "Me thoooo...."

Best - "So how many hundred millions do you want for your services this time,Blofeld ?"
Worst - "Good Morning, my name's Bond...James Bond. Miss ?"

    Moore:
Best - "Dont worry darling, its just a hat belonging to a small headed man of limited means who lost a fight with a chicken" : LALD
Worst - "Goodnight Sir" : TMWTGG

    Dalton:
Best - "Oh yes,i got the message...he's with Whitaker,in Tangiers." :TLD
Worst - "You're just in time, things were about to turn naaaasty" : LTK

    Brosnan:
Best - "Don't worry, I'm not here to take it back. Put your hands down." : DAD
Worst - "I`m checkin` out. Thanks for the kiss of life." : DAD

    Craig:
Best - "The names Bond, James Bond" : CR
Worst -"That's because you know what i can do with my little finger" : CR

    These are quite good choices.

The difference between Moore and Brosnan delivering their lines can be seen by comparing the last scenes of TMTWGG and TWINE. Moore's lines are almost as smarmy "She's just coming, sir" vs. Brosnan's "I thought Christmas only comes once a year"...but Moore is much more smooth, somehow.

Can't guarantee some of these are my all-time best and worst ones, but this is what I can think up at the moment:

    Sean Connery:
Best: "Bond. James Bond." (Dr. Do)
Worst: "Is that who it was?" (Diamonds Are Forever)

    George Lazenby:
Best: "There's no hurry, you see - we have all the time in the world..." (On Her Majesty's Secret Service)
Worst: "You're a picture yourself, and twice as lovely in the firelight." (On Her Majesty's Secret Service)

    Roger Moore:
Best: "The answer to the question is yes. I did kill him." (The Spy Who Loved Me)
Worst: "Call me James." (A View to a Kill)

    Timothy Dalton:
Best: "SWITCH THE BLOODY MACHINE OFF!!!" (Licence to Kill)
    Worst: "Della!" (Licence to Kill)

    Pierce Brosnan:
    Best: "No. For me." (GoldenEye)
Worst: "I thought Christmas only comes once a year." (The World is Not Enough)

    Daniel Craig:
Best: "That last hand nearly killed me." (Casino Royale)
Worst: "007, reporting for duty." (Skyfall)

    Connery: "Really."

    WORST:
    Pierce: "Looks can be deceptive."

That's a good choice for Dalton's worse line.

Aside from not making sense (they'd just explained to Bond that Sanchez was out of their jurisdiction), he sounds like a snotty teenager.

Having just watched GE i must say i always chuckle at Brosnan's "The things we do for frequent flier mileage" line.

Brilliant line and delivered spot on.

I've never really had a problem with that.

As I've said before the only quip I genuinely cringe at is at the end of DAD when he's in the helicopter with Jinx after he's managed to regain control of the helicopter:

"now...you said something about...going down together?"

You can tell that even Brosnan knows that line is awful.
