Yes, from my retail days I learned that the Christmas orders are put in during July and start arriving in store in September. Madness, but there it is. I suppose the logistics somewhat dictate the early timing.
when checking the exchanges, I don't see anything impressive. But the inflation has taken it's toll Europe-wide.
My wife is making an Asda order for Christmas Eve. We should be okay.

Not on this forum but I've noticed it elsewhere online. It's stupid to be honest but then so is much of the modern world we inhabit. Seemingly everyone is triggered or offended by something nowadays so all bases have to be covered.
But that's the thing, these aren't offensive words, they're just unpleasant topics. Imagine if the news had to bleep the presenter every time they say 'w*r', 'cr*me', or 'm*rder'. Thankfully it's not very common, I've only seen it in a few places and not in any official publications. I just hope it stays that way.

I've not seen it being used on the mainstream news media as yet. It's mainly the preserve of people on TikTok and Instagram who use euphemisms like "unaliving" instead of saying "suicide" in order to avoid the algorithm deleting their content. I have heard trigger warnings given on TV before an old film is shown though.
I didn't know about the algorithm. I guess that's understandable, even if it is a little an**ying.
Yes, I've heard creators saying that on there. I think they're "shadow banned" which means their videos don't get out to people unless they search for their account, but the account itself doesn't know that this is happening. The lack of engagement with what they're posting is the only clue they'd have that something was amiss.
I would say I agree with @Dragonpol and would add that it's very often people avoiding algorithm or other censorship being misconstrued by typically conservative-leaning folks as being "woke" attempts at avoiding trigger words.

This thread is for general complaints, not just Bond complaints, so thank you for both. As for your CR comments... my take was that it's clear Bond doesn't want to kill him, but the way events play out, it really came down to "one less bomb maker in the world" when Bond had his back against the wall and couldn't escape with his captive. So he does what he can to solve his mission and gets out of there. The point of M.'s conversation with him later is to point out that Bond and M. are on the same page, operating through different methodology, which is how they respect each other. That scene shows she doesn't quite trust his field instinct yet, but by the time he's at the airport in Miami, she clearly trusts him.
COVID can make one feel absolutely terrible. I hope you'll have a quick recovery, @FoxRox! Hang in there, mate.
Thank you @DarthDimi. It’s a raw deal for sure. Even trying to sleep is a bit hard due to symptoms and stress, but besides a doctor’s visit, resting and drinking water is all I can really do for now.
Resting is key. Are you suffering big headaches?

If the US federal or state law is anything like the UK your employer has to recognise your illness and allow you time off to recover from it as well as sickness pay. They shouldn't be able to terminate your employment simply for being sick so don't worry.
